Reading-Time AI helps students read, practice vocabulary, and track reading progress. This policy explains how the app handles information.
Reading-Time AI uses Base44 to authenticate accounts and store school information. This includes account names and email addresses, user and school IDs, school roles, class assignments, grade levels, invitations, and subscription access records. Authorized school staff can view and manage the roster for their school. Parents see information for students linked to their account when the school has enabled parent access.
Messages sent through the app are stored with their text, sender, recipient, and time. School staff can message eligible students and parents, who can reply. These records are linked to the participants’ accounts and are used to deliver the messaging feature.
The native app stores its reading library, favorites, notes, and reading progress on the device. Story generation uses Apple Intelligence on supported devices. These local stories and prompts are not uploaded to the school messaging service by the native app. Website features may store reading information provided through the website separately.
Recording availability depends on the device, operating system, and app build. Where available, recording requires consent and is intended for supervised use within Reading-Time AI. Recordings are stored locally; the current native release does not upload them to a shared school recording library.
School checkout is provided through the Base44 website using Wix Payments. The payment provider handles payment details. Reading-Time AI stores purchase status and subscription references to verify access. The current release does not process subscriptions through Apple in-app purchases. Deleting an app account does not cancel a school subscription.
Information is used to sign users in, verify school access, manage classes, deliver school messages, and provide support. Base44 and the payment provider process information needed to supply these services. School information is shared with authorized people in the school and linked family accounts according to their roles. We do not sell personal information or use children’s information for advertising.
Schools and parents should obtain the required consent before creating student accounts or enabling optional recording. Only information needed for educational use should be entered. Parents and schools can contact us with questions about a child’s account.
Account holders can request permanent account deletion in the native app’s Settings. This removes the login and associated personal records, including sent and received school messages. Shared classrooms and school billing records are retained. A classroom teacher can also graduate a grade 12 student after confirming permanent account deletion. Additional school memberships may require support to coordinate deletion.
School and account records are retained while needed to provide the service. Billing records may remain for subscription administration and legal obligations. To request access, correction, deletion, or help removing local device data, contact us below.
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
